Why I Love WeCrochet: Favorite Tools Too

As crocheters we come to depend on certain tools to help us create and keep organized. Additionally, we need to have systems in place to help us keep our yarn, hooks, and tools organized and a way to catalog, organize and/or print out our patterns collection.

In a future article, I share tips and tricks for keeping organized. Today I’d like to talk about “Why I Love WeCrochet.

As you may know. WeCrochet is part of the KnitPicks and Crochet-dot-com family of products. They have yarn, patterns, gifts, tools, accessories, and more.

Being a crocheter, you likely have your go-to sight for purchasing yarn. (I’d love to know where you enjoy shopping for yarn… comment below. NO links please.

The reason I felt moved to write this article is because, as you… I’m a smart shopper, always looking for the best deals for the best quality. I also look for sites that offer free or reasonable shipping costs, without having a put in a large order. But… because there typically is a minimum order required, for sites that provide free shipping, it’s nice to have a wide selection of products to choose from.

I know… I know… we could easily fill a warehouse with our yarn wishlist… however, what if you just want to get a few balls or skeins?

That’s where WeCrochet comes in. In addition to my yarn purchase, I had so much fun shopping for what I call “A Crochet Kit.” This kit has the essentials needed for crochet projects.

I felt like I was picking out my birthday or holiday presents and had so much fun picking out these goodies.

Here’s what I got… (and I love how everything is color-coordinated.) I store everything in this kit, aside from the crochet hooks (which can come with a useful stand) in a colorful zip pouch. This pouch fits neatly next to the crochet hooks stand.

  • WeCrochet Ruler
  • Measuring Tape
  • Foldable Scizzors
  • Stitch Markers
  • Crochet Gauge Swatch Key
  • The Dots Crochet Hook Set and Acrylic Stand

About the crochet hooks… I truthfully cannot believe how much I LOVE these hooks. They are my new favs… even more that Clove soft touch, which I’ve used religiously for over a decade.

Now that I have my kit close by, I am ready to dive into my next crochet project.

Of course… being so organized in one area, makes me want to get more organized in other crochet-related areas. So, in a future article I’ll share tips and tricks for organizing yarn and patterns.

Do you have a crochet organization tip that you’d like to share? Please share it in the comments below. And… if you have a lot to say on the topic, let me know if you’d like to share a guest post on this blog.

Happy Crocheting,
Dvorah
